Everton U21s 1 - 3 West Bromwich Albion U21s

Everton U21s lost to West Brom in their Premier League 2 game against West Brom at Haig Avenue in Southport tonight.

There was a suggestion that Dele Alli would play tonight but he is not in the starting line-up or on the incomplete 4-man bench. However, Andre Gomes starts again in his bid for match fitness.

Everton scored first through Martin Sherif. But the lead lasted less than a minute and the young Baggies followed that a few minutes later with the go-ahead goal.

Gomes came off at half-time, with the visitors later getting a third to seal the win.

There is no streaming coverage of this game as it clashes with a Premier League game on Sky tonight.

Everton were 1-0 up after 23 minutes and losing 2-1 after 27 minutes.

There is some talk that Everton asked Spurs for approval to play Dele but no approval came through.

3-1 now – although nobody is talking about the match, it's all about a bad joke: is Dele on loan at Everton or is he our player?
