Do miracles happen? Or will we spectacularly implode?
Hopes raised. Eyes polished to witness a pre-festive Christmas spectacular. Can we jingle all the way? COYB

I think there is a real opportunity for us today Martin, we are buoyant and although Chelsea are not sunk, they are floundering a little.
The stars have been aligning recently, and I fancy a couple of star performances today to cement our league position, 2 : 1 win. COYB

It's been 30 years since we won in the league there, so we are well overdue a win there, but this is Everton, so not expecting anything, here's hoping COYB

Seems it's just a very difficult league.
Goykeres with only 5 touches in the first half -- I think that's possibly worse than Barry, if that were possible!
Arsenal 0 - 0 Wolves at half-time.

Arsenal doing their usual choke around Christmas as soon as they realize they're on track to win the Premier League.
Be amazing if Man City do, having lost 4 of their first 12, but Arsenal are making it easy.

Well, Wolves pull back level in stoppage time with a great glanced header from somebody called
Tolu Arokodare.
Mikel is mad as a sack of frogs.

But then a fine header off Jesus, but no, it's an own-goal off Mosquera up in the air directly behind him.
Lively finish to this one!

Saka was superb. I'm already having palpitations about him and our full backs and I can't think of any other match that will challenge our depleted midfield.
I hope I'm not getting evil, but I'm quite enjoying this Wolves saga.

Sunderland don't look like a weak sister here.
Decent derby action.

Howe, Frank, Iraola, Glasner and Silva could all be looking for new jobs next summer.

Thomas Frank seems afraid to play expansive football.
Howe has just taken off Tonali and not brought on Joelinton. Seems odd not getting your best players on the pitch when losing.

£90k-a-week Jack Harrison seems to be ripping it up now he is back at Leeds: 1 start.
49 for Everton in 2 seasons.
Farke obviously does not see class when it stares him in the face.

Watching Sunderland earlier -- left-back and centre-back looking useful. Cracking header from Woltemade too.
What happened to the Barcodes who stuffed us 4-1, I wonder?

Yea, Christy, and this is what he has to say about the wonderful Leeds fans:
“They travel away in huge numbers too. It is an unbelievable fanbase and you definitely feel that as players. It is something I have never experienced before."
Cheeky twat.

The sweet talking devil. Ee, those Leeds fans, putty in hand, that's them.
I am so glad to see the back of that mournful misfiring blert.
And once our striker starts scoring, they'll all be Very Very Sorry.

You've got some nerve MK.
You spent year after year hammering Calvert-Lewin and your merry little band of disciples couldn't wait to jump on your bandwagon. The abuse this lad took was vile. Now you want to bleat when he says he hasn't had the sort of support he receives now?
He may not have been a top goalscorer but he was a very good footballer in a team full of players who were better without the ball than they were with it. He spent years dining on scraps.
He fucked off. You got your wish. This is what it looks like.
We have replaced him with two forwards who (if you include wages) cost us around £100M. Neither of them will ever score as many goals. Neither of them will ever be as good a footballer. While both are proving to be persistent stumbling blocks when the footballers we have now signed play the ball into them.
In the words of the great Peter Cook - "Any happier ?" "Any fucking happier ???"

It might be a little dig at the Evertonians, which is how I'm sure a few people will take it, but it might also just be an indication of the absolute pressure that the Everton players have been playing under in recent years.
I read people comparing managers on ToffeeWeb, but just before we got that original and draconian 10 points deduction, I remember listening to Mark Pembridge talking on Radio Merseyside after Everton had just won away at West Ham (Calvert-Lewin might have got the winner that day) and he was saying that he had just been getting little glimpses, giving him a feeling that the pressure the Everton players had been playing under for the last few seasons was slowly beginning to lift, then hey fucking presto.
Let's face it, Dominic has taken a lot of stick over the last few years off more than a few Evertonians, with my own opinion being that it was partly because of how unprofessional our football club had become.
We only had one centre-forward, and when he wasn't fit, it was often said it was because he wore knickers and bras. But when he was fit, and was asked to lead the line by himself, it was definitely something he did a lot better than the two centre-forwards who currently “share” the job nowadays.

Darren
You still banging on about the one time our faithful away fans sighed and shook their heads when Calvert-Lewin went down injured for the millionth time? A few quiet, frustrated voices.
That offset by 9 years of following this guy all around the nation only to see him fluff his lines more often than not, all while he was earning a lot more than he is now (paid by those fans) since his dream of cashing in as a free agent didn't work out.
Never understood why you seem more concerned with supporting fairly insignificant individuals like Calvert-Lewin and your favourite, Tom Davies, while you hammer every manager mercilessly and most of your fellow fans.

Dominic was offered a new contract and turned it down and went elsewhere, just like hundreds of players do every year. He scored some important goals for us and is way better than the 2 guys who currently have replaced him.
But we cant keep looking backwards we could say I wish Richarlison was still here, I wish Rodriguez was still here, how did we let a world class manager like Ancelotti walk away?
I hope Dominic is successful at Leeds, he wasn't my favourite player and I think it was the right time for both him and the club to part. I think, when he left, his sights were set a bit higher than ending up at a newly promoted club, but in football you just never know how your career will pan out.

Kieran Kinsella.
How on earth would you know what sort of support Calvert-Lewin got at away games? You didn't go to any of them. Not one... and by your own admission, you won't pay a telly subscription to watch our games because you "cant be arsed"...
For years, you have come on here, not just to bring "Teach" Kenrick an apple every day, but to gossip and talk about games you haven't watched.
The world and his dog know's Calvert-Lewin came off at Villa Park with a broken cheekbone and Evertonian boos ringing in his ears. The player himself even spoke about it next time he scored.
As for Tom Davies, he left years ago. He hasn't played regular football for this club since injuries began to derail his career around 5 years ago Time you got a new obsession.
