Everton U21s 0 - 2 Real Madrid U21s

Everton U21s had a player sent off and went behind to Real Madrid U21s at Goodison Park in the Premier League International Cup on Wednesday evening.
Everton went behind in front of a good crowd at the Old Lady, Real Madrid with a goal in added time before the half-time break.
Jake Patterson was sent off with 25 minutes left. After a fantastic burst down the wing by Finney, his brilliant cross was glanced by Omari Benjamin but it went agonisingly beyond the far post.
Everton came very close through Boyake but the visitors got a second in added time at the end to win 2-0.
Everton U21s: G Pickford, Finney, Van Schoor (59' Ebere), Welch (77' Boyake), Tamen, Campbell, Bates [Y:86'], Patterson [R:63'], Morgan (77' Thomas), Gomez (46' Foster), Graham, (46' Benjamin).
Subs not Used: Lukjanciks, Davis.

Because of age and difficulty getting in and out of Bramley- Moore Dock, the new ground will never give me the satisfaction I got going to the Old Lady and I think many old timers feel the same as me.

Tony would have better sharing the comms with Jose, I think he knows him, mind you when Tony starts rabbitting about football and Everton he forgets to stop.
Then again, watching the Academy teams, it would be hard knowing where to start without blaspheming which neither I nor Tony believe in using!

Michael, you never reported that George Pickford, no relation to Calamity, made a good save from a Real Madrid penality.

About 20 season ticket holders who didn't attend, myself included, were able to get a bunch of tickets for a dads and lads night out for the Under 10s and Under 12s footy teams.
Some of them are Blues, some Reds, you never know, sow a seed, “There is none so zealous as the convert”.

And it looked like a decent crowd for the Young Blues... perhaps 1,500 at Goodison Park tonight, Blues fans spurning the Premier League games on offer on Sky this evening,
Games still to come:
Monday 15 December @ 7 pm: PSV Eindhoven U21s
Friday 19 December @ 7 pm: Monaco U21s
