Everton U18s 2 - 1 Liverpool U18s
Everton U18s host local rivals Liverpool in Saturday's U18 Premier League micro-derby at Finch Farm.
There must be serious concerns about Justin Clarke, who went off, presumably injured, after only 9 minutes.
First blood was self-inflicted when the Young Blues went ahead through an own goal before the half-hour mark. But the visitors restored parity on the stroke of half-time.
It wasn't until almost the end of the contest when Everton's youngsters finally got the goal they needed through Demi Akarakiri to secure a fine win over the old enemy.
Everton U18s: Lukjanciks, Lambert (71' Stewart), Poland, Evans, McEveley, Matos, Clarke (9' Wren), Akarakiri, Loney, Nsangou (71' Murdock), Pita.
Subs: Gospel-Eze, Billington.

I didn't even know they were playing, always nice to beat them.
I hope Clarke's injury is not too serious -- we need him for the FA Youth Cup game v Ipswich next week.
