Tyrique George had a positive start to life as an Everton player after coming on from the bench against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

It was shortly after he came on in the 69th minute that the Toffees managed to turn the game around, coming back from a goal down to win 2-1. It was their 10th win of the season, their seventh on the road, and the Toffees find themselves eighth in the league table.

“Yeah, Tyrique came on and did quite well. I've quite liked what I've seen in training,” David Moyes said after the win.

“We've got to watch that we're not bringing in somebody who might not be ready, but I thought he looked fine. He had a hand in the goal. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to [seeing more of him] because he's looked good enough in training. He wants to score and we need people who want to score. That's important to us.”

George was signed on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day and Everton have an option to buy the youngster. On his debut against Fulham, the 20-year-old had one shot, one successful dribble, made nine out of 11 passes and two recoveries.

Sharp, direct, courageous, skilful, energetic, quick, athletic...

He, Barry, Beto, McNeil and Dibling had better work hard cause this lad will play a lot it seems. He came to make things happen.

Means business. COYB!

He's come to the wrong club if you think he'll play a lot.

Let's see what team he puts out Tuesday...

Dibling and Armstrong have had chances, plus the likes of O'Brien, Garner, Rohl, Iroegbunam -- all not too old and get a fair amount of game time. I think Moyes is happy to give lads a chance, especially out wide. It's not his fault Dibling hasn't taken his chances.

I can see George getting a fair crack at it, up to him to take his chances.

Guys', let's give the lad a good few games before we make judgement.

We're all too guilty of bigging players up, or casting them out after one or two good or bad performances.

The saying "You never get a second chance to make a first impression!" comes to mind.

Tyrique made a good first impression. Good on him!

Tyrique George is way, way better than Aznou or Dibling in development. Moyes will start him soon.

Dewsbury-Hall, Garner and Gueye couldn't wait to get the ball to him as soon as he came on yesterday. They know.

“We're all too guilty of bigging players up, or casting them out after one or two good or bad performances.” Speak for yourself.

"You never get a second chance to make a first impression!" This is such an embarrassing phrase. How many times does rushing to judgement leave you better off than weighing things up over a reasonable amount of time?

Heartwarming that Davey seems ‘quite' impressed.

You have to love the enthusiasm and energy he brings.
Tyrique is a young player on his own journey, shows good potential.

His defensive duties will be worked on by our manager, and I hope he is encouraged to develop his flair for tricky footwork and quick change of pace.

Dibling still seems overawed, not this lad, so long as fans don't turn on him.

Even Ndiaye made mistakes, but we laud him for his great play when it works, which is most of the time.

I kike what I see so far, Tyrique, more please.

He has a refreshing confidence and a lack of fear when he plays, let's hope that continues.

A bit bemused when he was subbed as he looked like he was one of the few attacking threats when we were chasing the game.

Armstrong on the wing? Again, strange as he should have been a like-for-like for Gana, who looks shot at the minute.
