Everton U21s 1 - 2 Sunderland U21s

Everton U21s took the lead against Sunderland at Walton Hall Park in this Premier League 2 fixture on Friday night but soon fell behind... and that's the way it stayed.

It was Demi Akarakiri who gave the young Blues the lead after 14 minutes when a clearance from an Everton corner fell nicely for him and he fired home.

But Sunderland were ahead inside the next 10 minutes, firstly after Lukjanciks failed to save a fairly soft shot, before Bates was harshly punished for a coming together in the Everton penalty area that saw the visitors get the early go-ahead goal from the spot and take control for the rest of the game.

Everton U21s: Lukjanciks, Samuels-Smith (84' Davis), Van Schoor, Welch, Thomas, Bates, Boakye, Akarakiri  (64' Gomez), Ebere (84' Loney), Olayiwola  (64' Pita), Graham

Subs not Used: Gospel-Eze.

I’ll,get my special investigator to try and report on the game and spend another few pound that you won’t re- emburse me with.

Sunderland getting backed by our keeper with three great saves — making up,for his mistake for their first goal.

Everton have missed three great chances through Boakye and Ebere followed by a great effort by Graham which narrowly missed the target.

Oh, Bollucks. I forgot all about this again!

Maybe I can download all the Everton fixtures to my iPhone calendar?

Although when I did finally log on after noshing my tea, I clicked on the liink and up it popped for the last 6 minutes of added time.

Which included a brilliant cross in for Braiden Graham to head home... only he picked out the goalkeeper with un-erring accuracy, giving him the easiest save of the night with the goal gaping like a yawning chasm before him!

Don't watch it, Dave. Suffice to say, the lessons he's been getting from B&B are definitely having an effect!

Everton made a wrong comeback in the second half with Braiden Graham leading the fight with some great work including a brilliant effort that narrowly missed the target which came after three missed chances by Boakye and Ebere.

Graham continued to impress from midfield and as a striker but proved he was human by heading a good chance straight at the ‘keeper near the end and Welch missing a header at the very end.

Dave (4) That should have read — Everton made a strong comeback, not bleedin' wrong comeback.

Jesus, Michael, keeping that drunken relative of yours as a word checker will end in tears for you, mate.
