Thanks, Brent.

Can't make the funeral unfortunately but will donate to the Hospice.

Have the club confirmed the screen tribute?

Yes, Stan. Confirmed as just before kick off and at half time though they couldn’t do during the game.

So very sorry to hear this sad news. I had wondered why we had not heard from him for a while.

Its great to see the club paying tribute to a devoted Evertonian who followed them the length and breadth of the country. RIP, Danny. 🙏

I never met Danny but he was a dyed-blue fanatic all right, it's a real shame. He has died too young.

Thanks for organising this, Brent. I will be at the match Saturday and at Springwood next Friday.

Like as has been said, a very sad loss to many, but even more heartfelt to those who knew Danny well.

The players should be made aware of fans like Danny. Pure dedication through thin and thin.

Every game was an away game for Danny. An absolute credit to the club.

Rest in peace, Danny.

Never met Danny, but his enthusiasm for all things Everton was infectious. As someone said above, every game was an away game for him. Always saw the brighter side of things.

RIP Danny, a proud Evertonian.

My memory is not too good, but I'm sure I played alongside Danny for Crawfords FC back in the 70s. Maybe it was a family member. Could one of you nice people put my mind at ease?

Deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Thank you.

Jeff @12,

Danny was only 54 when he sadly passed, so born around 1972!

Very sad to hear this news - Danny lit up ToffeeWeb for years and always interesting comments, the dedication and passion emanating from every post.

Missed him this last year or so and now gone for ever... Rise in power, Danny, and may this season be a fitting memorial for you as the Blues begin to ascend again in style.

Sincere condolences to all who knew Danny.

If you're attending, give him a great send-off.

It's only right that the club pay tribute to a dedicated and true blue supporter, who travelled home and away.

Danny was living in London, which shows his dedication to EFC. đź’™ Rest in peace, Danny.

Thanks Brent.

I know St. Joesph's Hospice; my brother worked there for a long time. Always passed it on the way from Crosby to Formby or Southport etc. Danny was in the best of hands. And he would have been able to have said what he needed to say.

I hate to ask for things. But,

(1) If possible, could someone please take a shot or video of Danny on the Screen on Saturday.

(2) The same for Danny's funeral: pictures, of course, not video.

It just feels somehow "good" to see the people and things that matter when there is no possibility of being there and sharing.

Thanks!

RIP Danny đź’™

Connor is the living image of his dad.

I’ll do my best to - I tried to take a photo of Martin Masons tribute at whatever game that was last season but missed it by seconds (it was the one that showed all blues that had. Passed the last year so there were loads and they flashed by) Hopefully Danny will get more than a few seconds.
I’m planning to go to the funeral as well.
How do we post photos on here though?

ToffeeWeb often gets a bad reputation.

Danny, who always saw the good in life and loved this site, would be proud of how we'll all come together for him..though a tad embarrassed.

God bless Danny and rest in blue peace mate!

Mark, I recall one of the eds, Harry or Patric, telling someone to email photos to him. I think that Brent did this for that lovely photo of Danny and Melanie on the Danny's Journey thread.

Let us all hope the sky is a wonderful clear blue on the day of the funeral. It would be great to see for a wonderful man and a real true blue.

I still can't believe I will never read another of his wonderful travels and match reports.

RIP Danny. Condolences to his son Connor and all family and friends.

Heartbreaking - 54 is far too early. Great job Brent, with thanks - donation going out now.

RIP Danny Boy
