A third Everton kit for the 2026-27 season has been released in a sickly green colour that fails to conjure up the desired image of a verdant forest, which presumably existed in prehistoric times at the location of Finch Farm.
The kit’s shirt, which features the branding of main sponsor CMC Markets and sleeve sponsor, the gambling entity Stake.com, is green, complemented by a dark green and orange trim on the round neck collar and sleeves.
The shirt is accompanied by dark green shorts with green and orange trim, styled with a flat-finish waistband and concealed draw cords. The Everton crest appears on the right thigh, opposite the signature Castore wings. Pale green socks with dark green and orange trim sport ‘EFC’ lettering on the shin, with Castore wings on the calf completing the look.
The light blue round-necked goalkeeper third kit, which is only available in Replica version, features a black collar and sleeve trim, with matching shorts and socks which look a lot better.

Why is a third kit necessary and are there many teams where our first two kits match the oppositions main colours? I don't understand why we sometimes change from the Royal Blue when there is no colour clash.
Mind you, this does offer a marketing opportunity, packs of scarfs in the three shirt colour options and one white one for when we all give up on this rubbish.

I'm always amazed by how many people are bothered about what players are wearing, especially 2nd and 3rd kits.
