Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Everton's mercurial attacker Iliman Ndiaye in a deal worth up to £65M. The Premier League champions agreed an initial fee of £60M with a further £5M structured in performance-related add-ons, gazumping Tottenham Hotspur late in the transfer window.
The 26-year-old Senegal international underwent his medical assessments in Manchester after City accelerated their pursuit following Liverpool's refusal to sell Cody Gakpo. Ndiaye was previously in discussions over a potential move to Tottenham — which involved potential swap talk with Richarlison — before Enzo Maresca's side stepped in.
Ndiaye leaves Merseyside after a memorable 2-year spell, during which his flair, dribbling, and work rate made him a fan favourite at Goodison Park, where he scored Everton's last goal, and then Hill Dickinson Stadium, where he scored Everton's first. He departs having registered 17 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions.
Everton had offered Ndiaye multiple contract extensions over the past 12 months, but with the player keen to test himself in the Champions League and entering the final stages of his deal, they were forced to accept that he wanted away, the hierarchy eventually accepting City's substantial offer.
The influx of funds provides crucial capital as the Blues navigate deadline day activities, including a potential return for Jack Grealish.

I will miss seeing Illy in Everton shirt. We have not had many flair players in the last few seasons who gets bums of the seats. Hopefully George can step up now.

That said, with Ndiaye, he may be polishing the bench at Man City and the fee should have been higher.
I think Everton have bought very well fee-wise, but it's possible that we may not have signed enough after the transfer window has been cleaned.

Thanks for mentioning the fans who cheered and applauded your every little dribble and mazy runs, you were the first name on the sheet every game, unfortunately for us you spewed it just before and after the Afcon just in case you got injured and ruined your chance of a big move.
Unlike Nathan Patterson who I wished well earlier, I hope you get splinters in your arse from warming the City bench and go on to be a bit part player at best.
Flattered to deceive a lot of the time, and your goals and assists aren't really nothing exceptional are they. Good riddance to you, the only saving grace is we made an healthy profit on you.

I think we have sold Ndiaye and Tim on the cheap. Why?? Ndiaye should be worth at least 10M more and Tim going to Hull for just 13M goes to show Kinnear just does not know what he is doing. Can we get rid of him now. I am glad Grealish is back but he is just a straight swap for Ndiaye so Ndiaye will not be as big a loss. Why we did not keep Tim if Norgaard is injured just beggars belief. I actually think Maitland Niles will be a good purchase and for me better than Tete. Hope we can get Balogun over the line to replace Beto who we sold for half what we paid for him. Could have done with another left back as no back up for Mykelenko. Overall a transfer window that does nothing to raise are hopes for European football

And correcting what some folks here were putting out about the player.
Personally, I wish him the absolute best. He played his heart out every minute he wore our shirt. He was more than just fancy touches for us, he was the best defensive winger of this era, always tracking back and winning the ball when needed. Made us proud.

Loved for his skill and as written in Wiki - In September 1978 he joined Chelsea where, much like the rest of his career, he dazzled the fans with his skills and eccentricity but still failed to make the most of his talents.
Unless Ndiaye ups his scoring and assists (1 goal in 4 games, or per 360 minutes) he will be a luxury only a club like City could afford. We got off our seats when he ran with the ball, rarely when it hit the back of the net.
