Don’t Panic! There is still a path to safety

The message on the front cover of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is good professional advice.  Cool heads are needed in times of dire adversity.  Pragmatic solutions are still available with 9 days left to go of this transfer window.  The priority now for the owner is to take charge of the situation and act today.

  1. Lance the boil that is Bill Kenwright; he represents failure. He must be told he had no part to play in Everton’s future.  This will show that essential change is afoot.

  2. Sack Frank Lampard simultaneously.  He has been given unprecedented time and has not proved himself as a competent manager, the Mike Walker comparable stats fully back this up.

  3. Appoint an experienced, no-nonsense manager. An organiser and motivator who will play a more simple, direct game – harder and faster.

  4. Buy or loan a striker who can fit the new manager’s game plan and hurt the opposition.

Mr Moshiri, don’t panic and please do something practical to give us a chance.   Better to try and fail than to absolve yourself from responsibility and do nothing at all.

Well, Tony, a start has been made.

Kenwright gone tomorrow, Dyche in Wednesday, a previously unmentioned top striker brought in Thursday.

Garner turns out to be a star, Europa League here we come!!

Andy, Another box ticked with the appointment of Sean Dyche today. Two more boxes to go.

Simple answer to staying up is looking at your fixtures and working out how 23 points can be gained from 16 games, as we aren't getting points from the next two.

Imo, we can get somewhere near 17/20 before the last two games and it will come down to needing 2 good results in the last 2 games v Wolves and Bournemouth. I very much believe 2 of the 3 teams involved in the above 2 games will play Championship football next season.

Tony you know when you think there's light at the end of the tunnel and then you realise it's.

Tony E, what a great thread! Thanks for creating it.

Looking at your points, well;

1. We live in hope, and it seems that BK is on the defensive, the day MSP Investment come to a home game to look at the infrastructure, the 'risk assessment' and 'media circus' ramp up to 'Bikini Amber'... With all the associated 'the Fans are toxic' narrative, and few well placed £50 quid notes in some scallies back pockets. (Why have players cars that have been harassed, have never been reported with such glee, if such things have ever happened before? I think that was a BK staged 'provocation' myself to help build the narrative against us!)
Oh, and when he goes, he can take DBB with him, or demote her back to just stadium, and charity roles.

2. Shame it wasn't simultaneous with #1, but 50% of something, is better than 100% of nothing...

3. Welcome to the club Mr. Dyche, now please, please, please keep us up! "Full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes" (Board)

4. With AG going, I guess it's a case of watch this space now. For me, 2 strikers and an old fashioned #8 - Who is a dead ball specialist please...

Thanks again Tony for the Thread. Let's hope, and pray that #1 happens soon, along with DBB please.

Good wishes all.
