Best hockey game I've ever watched possibly.

The effort by both teams was sublime. What I was just wonderfully flabbergasted by was Florida at the end of the game literally throwing their bodies in front of the puck. They didn't care that piece of rubber might shatter their jaws, break bones, etc. They just had no regard for their bodies and blocked everything.

I can tell you, as a player who HATED blocking shots and did it poorly on purpose because if freaking hurts like hell if it missed a pad, that is bravery and commitment on a whole different level.

I was rooting for Edmonton. Amazing comeback, great hockey city, and I'm not a big fan of South Florida. But after seeing the Florida players put their bodies on the line like that? Fair nuff.

The other side of the bracket is a freaking minefield! England has gotten so freaking lucky it's unbelievable. Will they capitalize on it? I highly doubt it. They'll go up a goal against someone, not play to their strengths and try to protect a lead, and blow it. They're as frustrating as that penalty against Portugal we had today!

Happy for Georgia, they went after it every match and deservedly advanced. Gutted for Mykolenko and Ukraine, that's a harsh way to go out.

Game 7 was just ok to me, FLA did a great job of shutting down McDavid and it worked - kinda like the Devils of old. Made up for Paul Maurice though, that guy is pure class. The Leafs never should have got rid of him. Yeah I know, the Leafs...have at 'er.

Most importantly, Kieran: you can get huge tubs of marmite on Amazon for a decent price and they're way easier to deal with than the classic jars. There's no reason to run out.

Too right. Kvaratskelia joined Napoli for about £11m in 2022. He looked like the new George Best for Rubin Kazan in Russia but with poor end product.

There was then a game against Spain where he ran the show and there's been plenty of end product since. The players are always out there.

I agree, no teams have set the competition on fire for all three games although Spain and Germany look the part.

England's best players have not yet risen to the occasion although playing the most part of all three games so we all hope that changes for the knockout stage.

Sad to see Mykolenko getting crocked again as he is the best we have in that position.

Cracking finish by Tosun, I've been impressed by Georgia, and for me Lobotka of Slovakia has stood out, bossing the midfield, tenacious with a good range of passing.

The Belgium game was shocking; as good as Doku is running with the ball, his end product is very hit-and-miss.

I've noticed that a lot of teams in this tournament are allergic to crossing the ball; instead, they play it square or backwards. I've very rarely seen one skin the full-back and cross it or get to the byline and pull it back, so infuriating.

I've noticed that... the reluctance to get the ball in early, from promising wide positions.

I can only think that a lot of sides break so quickly, the wide men have to wait for the forwards to be in best position. Obviously this doesn't include Ingerland!

Worst thing about Copa America is all the empty seats due to sky-high prices. Peru v Canada in Kansas City – cheapest tickets $100. Not exactly a lot of Peruvians or Canadians here but lots of football fans who may have paid $40. times Hope this isn't how the World Cup is or we will be looking at empty stadia.

As I say $100 was the cheapest but they went as high at $400. God knows what it costs to see Brazil play on the East or West coast much less the knockout games.
