Freiburg U19s 0 - 0 Everton U19s

Leighton Baines's young U19 side drew with Freiburg in the third and final group game of the 2023 Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe Cup at Obendorf, Germany, which kicked off at 5:15 pm BST. 

Everton needed a win to progress into the final stages of this competition, having drawn both their previous games, including the lunchtime match-up against AS Roma earlier today.

Everton were the only team to take a point from them and they did look a very well-drilled team.

Three draws and third place in the group which means Everton will be playing against Schalke 04 tomorrow for 5th place. Kick-off at 3 pm BST.
