Disclaimer () Kev Johnson 1 Posted 19/06/2025 at 18:05:09 As previously stated, I like the cut of his jib and would dearly love hin to come to us, but who knows how it will pan out?The transfer fee sounds about right, but the fact that Napoli have recently signed De Bruyne gravitates against that. Jack Convery 2 Posted 19/06/2025 at 18:12:04 Maybe some bargains to be had at Napoli, given the number of players they are buying. Michael Kenrick 3 Posted 19/06/2025 at 21:11:13 Also Liverpool's Jarell Quansah appears to be going to Leverkusen, not Everton. Ryan Holroyd 4 Posted 19/06/2025 at 21:16:58 Liverpool looking to sign that Palace CB Marc Guhei Paul Kossoff 5 Posted 19/06/2025 at 23:42:03 Micheal. "Also Liverpool's Jarell Quansah appears to be going to Leverkusen, not Everton."Thank fk for that. What a carthorse. File along with Philips, Grealish and Kyle Walker.Napoli are determined to keep. number one status, as they are now after Nunez, Rashford, Garnacho and Sancho are listed.Considering they went bankrupt in 2004, dropping into the third tier, it just shows you what can be achieved when a club is eventually run correctly. Hopefully we can do the same. Robert Tressell 6 Posted 20/06/2025 at 13:14:14 Paul # 5, I tried to compare our situation to that of Napoli a couple of years ago after they won their first Scudetto in many years.Napoli: cause for optimism? It was one of my better read articles — generating a whopping 12 comments! I seem to be an acquired taste...Anyway, the general thrust was that Napoli hit the doldrums for many years after an illustrious 1980s, but managed to get themselves back to the top table. We can do same thing if TFG lay the right foundations. It all starts this summer. Jay Harris 7 Posted 20/06/2025 at 14:21:21 The comparison with Napoli is appropriate. I worked in and out of Napoli in the 90s and always felt the city was very comparable to Liverpool.I was lucky enough to attend the European Cup final which they won and the scenes were crazy throughout the City.As you said, Robert, they then had a lean spell with typical Italian recriminations but seem to be back on the up now. Danny O'Neill 8 Posted 20/06/2025 at 14:48:46 When I lived out there Jay, I had to travel down once a month. Mad passionate people and a port city. I called it Liverpool in the sun.Napoli are always looked down on because of the Italian media's preference to the Milan clubs and Juventus. So in that way, yes, similar to Everton in terms of the city and how they are viewed.I always keep an eye on Napoli, even though my Italian leaning is Roma. And that is pre TFG. Kev Johnson 9 Posted 20/06/2025 at 15:00:26 Port cities are a thing. Defo. Jay Harris 10 Posted 20/06/2025 at 15:42:04 Danny agreed.Even though its rough and ready it is still full of character and one of my favourite places in the world. Andrew Clare 11 Posted 20/06/2025 at 16:07:28 My wife is Neapolitan and when we have visited I have watched Napoli with my wife's cousin's husband.I live in central Italy now and I can say from experience that Napoli is like no other Italian city. The Neapolitans are very passionate people and Napoli is a great football club just like Everton. So glad to see them gaining success. Hopefully the same success will come to us. Paul Kossoff 12 Posted 20/06/2025 at 19:13:38 Free transfers available. Fabianski, Vardy, Ericksen, Danny Ings. Even just to boost squad numbers. Ian Bennett 13 Posted 20/06/2025 at 19:25:44 I can see Fabianski as a 2 or 3 keeper, but no to the rest. Andy McNabb 14 Posted 21/06/2025 at 02:43:25 Paul #12, I know we can quote Marcus Bent ad nauseum but I also like the look of those names.I do understand and support the theme of building for the future but our squad numbers are a little scary this summer.
