Blackburn Rovers U18 1 - 3 Everton U18s
Everton U18s traveled to Brockhall where they beat Blackburn Rovers in the U18 Premier League North on Saturday morning.
This is only their 5th league game of the season, but they sit in mid-table, 7th out of 13 teams, despite losses to Manchester City and Nottingham Forest last month before most of them played in the Premier League U17 Next Generation Cup in Tamworth.
Leighton Baines has thus far been relying on a core of around 15 regulars as he looks to improve on last season's poor showing at this level:
Doug Lukjanciks
Aled Thomas
Josh van Schoor
George Finney
Rocco Lambert
Braiden Graham
Harvey Foster
Kean Wren
Luis Gardner
Ceiran Loney
Joel Catesby
Charlie Stewart
Melvin Matos
Luca Davis
Demi Akarakiri
The Young Blues stormed into an early lead through Justin Clarke with goals added from Braiden Graham and George Morgan before the break.
That's the way it stayed until the last minutes when a Blackburn player was shown the red card, and soon after, they scored a consolation goal.
Everton U18s: Lukjanciks, Davis, Gardner, van Schoor, Finney (83' Poland), Morgan (83' Stewart), Matos (77' Akarakiri), Lambert, Graham, Loney, Clarke (70' Wren).
