Season › 2024-25 › News Everton Women boss Brian Sorensen signs new contract Anjishnu Roy 24/04/2025 3comments | Jump to last Everton Women’s head coach Brian Sorensen has signed a new two-year contract and will continue in his role with the club until 2027. The Dane has been with the Blues for three years. Having taken over the role in April 2022, Sorensen took the team to sixth place in his debut Women’s Super League campaign and kept them competitive during a period of takeover uncertainty. Everton Women are in contention to finish fifth this season. “I am super happy and excited to sign this contract,” Sorensen told evertontv. “My family are really settled in the city and I am at the club. I am looking forward towards what's to come. I love coming to Finch Farm every day, so it's brilliant to extend my stay here. “I have spoken to our owners and we want stability and to try to create consistency in what we are doing. Putting together a very competitive squad is the first aim for the summer. Then, secondly, making sure we build our staff and performance around it at Finch Farm every day. “When we put all of that together, let's see where it can take us. I'm very confident we are in a project heading in the right way. Everton Women have been on a strong run since the beginning of the year. They managed to take points off the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal. They are scheduled to host Brighton and Hove Albion at Walton Hall Park on Sunday. Hopefully, this is one part of the club where some stability and increased investment can bring about some rapid improvement after steadying the ship with some good results since the new year In contrast, the men's team will take a bit more time with the volume of churn required there, the limited appeal of a Moyes-led team in transition and still lingering PSR constraints this summer. I for one hope that some version of a retained Goodison Park can work for us on the women's team and they can move on and up from Walton Hall Park. Paul Hewitt 2 Posted 25/04/2025 at 23:29:27 I don't know how much the women's team costs to run. But is it worth it ?
