David Moyes has revealed that Everton will be missing a few key players as they make the trip to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United on Sunday. It will be the final Premier League matchday of the season for the Blues.

Sitting in 13th place thanks to the revival under the returning Moyes mid-season, the players have very little to play for. However, they will be looking to thwart the plans of Newcastle, who are in a must-win position in order to qualify for the Champions League.

Everton will have to do it without a few key players, though, as revealed by Moyes in his pre-match press conference at Finch Farm yesterday. “He [Branthwaite] is injured and won’t be available,” Moyes said.

“It will probably be four or five weeks with a hamstring injury.

“Seamus is not available either. There’s not much we can do about it, but he is a big loss to us, and we will have to live with it just now. Seamus is not available.”

Both Branthwaite and Coleman picked up injuries in the 2-0 victory over Southampton - the men’s team’s final fixture at Goodison Park. While Branthwaite is dealing with a hamstring issue that is likely to keep him out until the pre-season, Coleman is suffering from a thigh injury.

Tim Iroegbunam isn’t available either. "We’ve also picked up an injury to Tim in training, an adductor injury, that will probably keep him out for a few weeks,” added Moyes.

With James Tarkowski also out, Moyes will face a dilemma deciding the backline. He is likely to turn towards Michael Keane, who scored in the win over Fulham recently. Veteran Ashley Young could also make his final appearance for the club before leaving as a free agent this summer.
