Rumour Mill: Bill Kenwright's shortlist of candidates to replace David Moyes features eight managers, all of them having been favoured by oddsmakers at some point in the last fortnight, according to Sky Sports. The Mirror, meanwhile, claim that Vitor Pereira leads the field and is the favourite to become the new Blues boss.

Klinsmann linked with Everton managerial role

The Echo reports on gambling excitement at the prospect that Jurgen Klinsmann could be in line to replace David Moyes. Irish bookmaker Paddy Power started tweeting about a rush of money being placed on the 48-year-old on Monday, and Klinsmann then stoked rumours himself by following the Blues from his own Twitter account.

Cheshire Today is reporting that Phil Neville has jumped up the rankings in the speculation over who will take the post of Everton manager.

Whispers around the Everton camp this morning that chairman Bill Kenwright had held a long telephone conversation with Neville about the job, prompted bookmakers to slash his odds of taking on the role.

The Guardian, meanwhile, report that Neville has told Kenwright that he is keen to replace Moyes after spending the last few years learning from Manchester United's new boss.
