Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was decisive in Everton’s come-from-behind win over Fulham at Craven Cottage. The midfielder had a hand in both goals as the Blues came back from a goal down to win the contest.

Dewsbury-Hall, signed from Chelsea this summer, has had a fantastic start to life as an Everton player and has fallen in love with the club. He hopes to impress England manager Thomas Tuchel, who was in attendance at Craven Cottage, ahead of the World Cup this summer.

“If I keep scoring and helping the team, then that's all I can do,” Dewsbury-Hall said after the game.

“And hopefully, then people in that position can keep taking a look and think maybe there's a space.

“I know what I can offer [England]. I've always said the better I do for my club, it gives me a better chance of playing internationally.

“Hopefully, he [Tuchel] can keep going to more games if I keep scoring, because he came to Old Trafford as well and I scored, so maybe (he should) come to all of them!”

The Everton number 22 heaped praise on the club’s fantastic away support and how life on Merseyside has exceeded his expectations.

“I love it,” he continued. “It's probably exceeded my expectations, to be honest. [The fans have] been unreal since the day I got here and it's just nice when you can repay them with that. To be an Everton fan and to go away this year must be exciting because you know it's going to be a game where we've got a good chance of winning.

“So, credit to the fans, they do help us. Even today when we were losing, you could hear them shouting and screaming, so it's always nice when you can turn that into the celebrations.”

The midfielder also had a hand in Tyrique George’s signing. The youngster was signed on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day six months after Dewsbury-Hall made the trip from London to Merseyside.

Discussing George’s potential and his conversations with David Moyes regarding the player, he added, “I’m excited by it, Tyrique is a really, really good player. He’s an exciting young player with a great attitude.

“You can see even today coming on, he looks comfortable. He doesn’t look nervous.

“He wants to show what he’s about, he’s got that, not arrogance, but good confidence. If he settles in quickly, he will be a big, big addition to this team.

“I had a little chat with the gaffer (David Moyes) and told him what my opinion was. I didn’t really speak to Ty because it’s up to him what he wants to do, but I’m glad that he chose us. Obviously, I’ve been speaking to him a lot since he’s been here about what happens here, what goes on, how we do things.

“He’s taken to it straight away, to be fair, from day one in training. So hopefully he’ll get up to speed quick and you’ll see some goals and assists."

Our Kieran has just had his head turned by a £35 million bid from Man City. Everton have said come back with £40 million and we will talk.

So looks like our Kieran won't be ours for much longer.

Whether true or not, Kevin, it has always struck me that the megaphone and others on here who keep saying that we will have an expansive summer in the window (when they have not got the slightest clue about the details and what might happen) tend to forget that it is likely that we will lose a couple of players (and I'm not talking about deadwood).

I feel that Ndiaye will leave us, for example. I also saw the Dewsbury-Hall report, so let's treat that as a possibility. It's 50/50 that Grealish will be with us next season, I think (perhaps lower). Alcaraz makes me wonder. Dibling too.

Strand Larsen is leaving for £50M.

Dewsbury-Hall is worth far more than £35/40M.

Dewesbury Hall is paper talk. No offence to him, but they will be after a player better than him to replace Bernardo Silva. If he does go, it'll be for a lot more than the numbers suggested. He's under contract, and we don't need to sell.

Alcaraz I think will move on. The strange 2-year deal will need cashing in. He has done nothing to suggest that would be too big a miss.

Ndiaye is the worry for me. No suggestions on a new contract and a bit of a star on lowish wages. He will be chased this summer by clubs bigger than Everton. Tyrique George could be his replacement rather than team mate.

Sensible post, Ian, and one that makes me think that the only reason Dewsbury-Hall is prospering at Everton is because he his taking the chance he possibly never really got given at Chelsea.

I like Alcaraz, he does some very good things and some stupid things, but I think he's in the exact same boat as Dewsbury-Hall was at Chelsea with the manager preferring others, but there's definitely a player in the Argentinian.

£40M for our best player?? It's nonsense! Even if it was Man City, which I don't see -- why would he go there and end up in the same position as he was at Chelsea?

The lad's found a place where he's enjoying his football, manager getting the best out of him, fans love him. Nah, he's here long term, I reckon!

I reckon Alcaraz is trying too hard, Tony. In the short periods he has been on the pitch, he is trying to impress by overdoing it.
Trying to show all of his skill in the cameo appearances he gets.

I like him because his first thought is to go forward.

I don't believe James Garner or Dewsbury-Hall will be going anywhere for the next few years.

Garner has just signed a new contract and I am sure Dewsbury-Hall has at least a couple of years on his present contract.

I said a few weeks back that, for the first time since Ancelotti was here, I feel really excited by this team. A full-back and striker in the summer and that is all this team needs.

I was also pleased to see Coleman next to Moyes on the gantry at the Fulham game; it wouldn't surprise me if Seamus is our assistant manager next season.

It will be interesting what impact George has in the coming weeks. Dewsbury-Hall rates him very highly. Harrison Armstrong looks like the real deal and, with Garner only 24 and Dewsbury-Hall 26, we have a midfield set for the next few years.

Which full-back is required, Brian?

Left or right?

If we want to become a Top 6 side, we can't sell our best players.

Dewsbury-Hall is our most important player for me, more important than Grealish and Ndiaye.

If we sell Dewsbury-Hall for £40M, we might as well give up any hope of being a serious top side.

John @11,

In answer to your question, my priority would be a right-back. I know Mykolenko has his critics on ToffeeWeb but I think defensively he is very good and I was pleased to see him bombing into the box to create a goal for Dewsbury-Hall.

I am old school -- I want my defenders to be able to defend first and foremost; if they can contribute going forward, then that's a bonus.

I hope the rumours about O ‘Brien being moulded into a right back aren’t true. It’s lazy and lacks ambition.

He’s the future at centre back.

KDH for 40 million as like selling your £1000 push bike for £100.

Fuck off, city. Go focus on your 115 brushed under the carpet charges. Corrupt bastards.

KDH is a blue 💙

Thanks Brian,

I don't rate Mykolenko on his passing and crossing mate.

Take your point about defending first but full backs are a big part of the modern day game in an attacking sense.

As a club we never seem to find the cheap South Americans which we can either integrate into the squad or sell on for a good profit.

Take Richarlison for example, he cost Watford £11m and less than a year later and only 4 goals was sold to us for £35m which could have reached £50m.

There's a decent 24 year old lad at Guadalahara out of contract in December, he's netted 14 in 21 games so far. I doubt he'll be even looked at and possibly end up at Atletico Madrid only to be sold on to Real for £50m.

We never seem to buy decent EFL players either, I doubt a player such as Cahill would even be on our radar now.

There are a few decent players at the likes of Coventry, a club we laughed at when they wanted £20m for Gyokeres. I'd have the likes of Van Ewijk & Thomas tomorrow.

We baulked at the £10m Bristol City wanted for Semenyo and we could have had Ouattara for the same money as Chermiti.

I was hoping with Moyes back the likes of Hayden Hackney who, at £15m last summer would have been a steal, would be considered.

It's been going on for years and the Barry & Aznou signings suggest to me nothing has changed.

Adewiereld was offered to us for €3.5m - Euros not pounds, at the Brazil World Cup but the club decided that £4m on Besic was the better buy.

I don't mind if we sell Ndaiye, he's not been arsed for months now and, for me, is just another Townsend or Gray.

Dewsbury-Hall won't be at City next year and, if I'm wrong, it'll be double the figures quoted.

The media act like we'll just crumble under pressure to sell to the so-called Big 6 (but not Spurs).

They need to stop trying to fool people, we're not that Everton anymore, that changed the minute Moshri left the building.
