Updated ToffeeWeb look

The site has had a small facelift but these changes sometimes come with unforeseen problems depending on what device and browser you are using.

Some posters are reporting seeing text overlaying other text. If this is happening for you or if there are what look to be other layout problems, please first reload the page — you may need to refresh it three or four times for your browser to retrieve fresh copies of older, cached files.

If you're on Internet Explorer or Edge for Windows, Ctrl+F5 will force your browser to download fresh assets for the page.

If problems persist, please either describe the issue below or send it in an email feedback@toffeeweb.com with the following details:

  • Your device / platform — e.g. PC laptop with Windows 10; Apple iPad; Android phone model; Macbook Pro; etc
  • Your browser — e.g. Google Chrome; Firefox; Safari; IE 10; Microsoft Edge

Yep - mines all over the place, text over text, in the wrong place etc. Happening on iPad via Safari and laptop via Google Chrome.

Blimey - it's been like it all day and fixed from refreshing screen, did it four or five times at least before but obviously needed another - fixed! :)

If on Google Chrome try incognito mode. Did it for me. All looks good Lyndon.

Mines on Apple iPad and I'm useless with technology, I'll go blind before I can fix it. HELP!!!!

Android Nougat 7.0 on Sony XZ is fine.

Dave (8), I've emailed you as such but if you're on an iPad, hitting the reload button in your browser until the page fixes itself should definitely work.

It may take a few times but it seems the caches need to be cleared.

For those on Chrome, clearing them manually also would seem to be the solution. You can do that under the Settings menu >> Advanced settings >> Privacy >> Clear browsing data.

Just know that that will clear your Chrome browsing history and cookies where you've asked sites to remember you so you can uncheck everything in the list apart from "cached images and files" and hit the 'clear browsing data' and that should work.

Paul Trail - yes incognito on chrome works fine. Cannot get it up on the home chrome tho'

All sorted now. I don't think I did anything except log out and back on again but repeated refreshing wasn't working before.

Kim, I may have given it a nudge by referencing new file names in the code, thereby eliminating most of the caching issues.

Had problems earlier on Chrome but all looks fine now.

I like the new look, wish I could say the same about Koeman's team...

Looks OK now on my 'phone and laptop but I don't like the way the mobile home page shoots down to Articles and there's no way back to the top from there. I'd rather it opened a new page the way Rumours does.

Not looking good on my Samsung tablet.

The articles only appear across half of the home page, the other half is blank.

The header is across the entire page and everything just arranged in a column below it.

Articles does however open in a new page on the tablet but still doesn't on my Samsung S4 mini

Whatever you've done its messing up my lappy bigtime, almost unusable.
It was bad before but now the sites really not working.
