Talks underway over Zapata loan move to Everton
Everton are reportedly negotiating with Atalanta over a proposed loan deal for striker Duvan Zapata.
The 31-year-old Colombian international is available this month and according to iNews correspondent Mark Douglas, the Blues are hopeful of arranging a temporary move with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Zapata is hugely experienced, having played in Argentina and four different clubs in Serie A where he has scored 107 goals in 267 games over the past decade.
He has also played 34 times for his country, scoring four times.

Zapata initially joined Atalanta on a two-year loan deal in 2018, a move that was eventually made permanent and went on to become the Italian club's highest-scoring foreign player in their history.
According to a local report in Bergamo, Atalanta are happy to let Zapata leave this month but want an obligation to buy as part of any deal whereas Everton are currently offering a €15m option.

Why not try to sign Trossard from Brighton? He had a big bust-up and is free this summer.

Short of making Coady a perm or getting rid of our only LB cover, how do we loan another?
According to my quick searches it sounds like the limit for loans is two?

Zapata, Danjuma, Sulemana, Ings, a right back and a left back might give us some hope….so we'll end up with McTommy from Man U on deadline day.

On loan, over 30,with a commitment to buy for £15 million, will probably want ( and get ) big wages and long contract.
Gives us the full set though,Tosun,Rondon and now Zapata!
Viva Zapata! Everton's latest Kevin Campbell!

I've picked an interesting year to join the fan ranks, the team certainly seems routed at the moment. However, true fans of any team find a way through the misery and dismal knowing that sun will shine again soon, right? One can hope!

We are chasing a 32 year old who has had better days, and can't break into his current team and we are prepared to pay 15 mill. THAT'S THE REAL CRIME.

If a player has a choice, there's probably at least 15 other Premier League teams they would rather go to than us unless we pay overs in wages.

Somehow we are now in pauper territory compared with Nottingham Forest. After a £180m spending spree, their first team and wider squad is easily as good as ours.

What a farce this has become. Unable to compete with the likes of Bournemouth and Forest. I suspect this only ends one way.

Either we have no money to spend within P&S Rules or the board is keeping its powder dry in case we have a new manager in place before the window ends.
Other clubs are getting stronger while we sit on our hands.
In our position, we cannot afford to continue with this – act now before it is too late – it already might be, for god's sake!

Everton have joined Newcastle United in holding talks over signing 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen and Ecuador defender, Piero Hincapie, who has also been linked with Tottenham.

Paul - thank the Lord for another defender. Wonder if he can score?

If we get that Zapata, then maybe he will help us retake the lands and properties of Everton from the hated dictator Bill Kenwright.
and give this great club back to the people. Viva Zapata! Viva la Revolución!

Please Bill - Go Now.
A Moody Blue.
PS: Zapata, according to TM has missed 6 games out of 18 this season and he missed 18 games last season. Mostly through Hamstring injury and other muscular issues. Maybe he's another one for the Treatment table. His goal stats are very good. Maybe too much wear and tear ?

A nurse
A railway worker
A teacher
And a postman.

We will improve, some how, some way. Feel like they are just too tight. Lampard has to find a way to loosen them up a bit. Otherwise, maybe he is the problem.
Keep the faith.
