As a new fan of Everton and football in general, would it be safe to say that the January transfer window is this slow or tedious to follow? It just seems like other teams are improving and dare I say “our” team seems to be stuck in neutral (our seems brash being that I'm new to it as a fan).

I've picked an interesting year to join the fan ranks, the team certainly seems routed at the moment. However, true fans of any team find a way through the misery and dismal knowing that sun will shine again soon, right? One can hope!

Now, Kevin Campbell. Returned from a fairly disastrous spell in Turkey to become our unlikely saviour. If only that could happen again. Don't laugh, it might be our only option.

If they could be bothered to take a quick look at his injury history, it's plain to see he has muscle problems which have got worse over the years and in the past 12 months he has been injured more than he has played.

Teams want money upfront. We can only agree a fiver a day for however long it takes to pay off. Hence deals like this. I'm expecting at least one free transfer too. The only other [;ace to look for players is the U23s. What a mess.

PS: Zapata, according to TM has missed 6 games out of 18 this season and he missed 18 games last season. Mostly through Hamstring injury and other muscular issues. Maybe he's another one for the Treatment table. His goal stats are very good. Maybe too much wear and tear ?

Id like him Paul, Has Frank got any pulling power left ? Get him in, Danjuma and then a back up / challenger for DCL and we've got a great chance then of staying up. The players are out there to be signed to improve us. Whether we have the cash or are attractive enough just at the moment is another thing altogether.

They've got a chance to be heroes if they come in and help turn it around for us.

I now believe we will get Zapata - he was born on April 1st, Fate - you can't beat it, so just laugh.
