Cant believe the lack of interest in this.

Cape Verde right back - A Dubliner who plays for Shamrock - having a very good game.

Spaniards really pissed off with each other. Huge fun

Hany the Egyptian right back has been superb, Doku has had to move to the right wing.

Watching Belgium v Egypt and Onana makes the statue of liberty look mobile

Onana for me has never lived up to the hype.

He should be like Patrick Viera was at the same age, grabbing the game by the scruff and calling the shots, you look at his size and stature, I still feel underwhelmed watching him as I did when he was with us.

A tidy player but nothing more.

Onana substituted, very poor.

Agree Christy, not a surprise to see him subbed off.

Just doesn't get himself in the game enough, no nuisance factor or anything.

Tielemans is another level altogether.

Yes Hany has looked good at RB both defensively and going forward, plays in Eygptian league.

Rom hasn't lost his touch!

Oh... maybe he has. Own-goal puts Belgium level.

Lukaku’s presence caused the o.g, he was 20 seconds on the pitch!

Mike Gaynes will be somewhere in the crowd there... probably in the Bill Gates suite.

Jim a fit Rom would be a huge handful, he’ll lose a few kg’s in that heat!

lovely NZ goal 1-0. Iran lads left so much spacw. I suspect that their minds were on what is in the Memorandum of Agreement that no one has seen.

Gorgeous 2nd for NZ - utter class - no accident that 2 goal Just plays for the best football playing team in Scotland, Motherwell. Two great fin ishes and two classy assists from Chris Wood. Celtic are apparently interested in Just.

The first half of NL v Japan was rather poor. This match has been end to end from the start and is so far the best match that I have seen in this tournament.

Just watched the 8-minute potted highlights, Paul. Some great stuff. Iran bloke hitting the post. Both sides should have done better with their final strikes of the game, easy saves.

Perhaps it was good to watch because neither side were defending in the good Moyes style of soccer strangulation he has perfected over 62 boring years of tedium.

Spot on MK, last paragraph. You're right, some indifferent stuff in the final third but just lovely to watch two teams doing their best to plsy the balls forwards and run at opponents at every opportunity.

Onana is better than the absolute shite we've got in our midfield, gone on to play for a trophy winning manager, I'm made up for him, my favourite player when he was here, he just couldn't stay fit, you don't have to sprint all over the pitch like a Tasmanain devil to be a good player, he sits in front of the back 4, When he's available he's straight back in the Villa team under Emery

So will Everton go for Hany ???

Tony, I'll be shocked if we signed a 30yo that's never played outside of Egypt

I’m in Spain and the bar fella is from morroco.
We got talking about Aznou (obviously).

The lad may have gone to the World Cup if our manager gave him a chance or at gave him minutes

He’d have gone had he been on loan somewhere.
Infuriating for the lad.

Morocco do look decent, though.
We won’t mention Spain.
