At West Ham, I found myself sitting a few seats away from the entire Everton Board of Directors! I wanted to get a photo with them with my kids. They seemed a bit taken aback and understandably, suspicious – not least Bill Kenwright. Denise, on the other hand, was quick to engage with me showing no sense of concern or trepidation. She leaned in, gave me a hug, a kiss on the cheek and thanked me effusively for my support of the club as it means such a lot to them.
