What an absolutely fantastic finish.
But all for nought: offside.

VAR review… cleared. Unbelievable.
I think this is why I have my golden rule: never watch fucking Liverpool.
5 Posted 05/03/2025 at 20:32:24
And STILL PSG cannot score.

And when I change it to an editorial, all the comments magically appear!

One of their players first kicks and then grabs / wrestles the keeper to prevent him taking an early kick from his hands.
Only them.

In the hope that they lose?
To see their bitter twisted faces when they do?
31 Posted 05/03/2025 at 22:55:32
Watching them confirms to me why I am glad I'm not one of their warped, entitled sort. Not that I ever had a choice.
I don't like being associated with them. From being a kid, made to wear a pair of jeans with a "I'm a scouser" knee patch. I asked what it meant and when told it means you come from Liverpool, a cried like the 5 year old baby I was. I don't like being called a Liverpudlian as it is association with them. I'm from the city of Liverpool and proud of it. But don't call me a Liverpudlian.
I don't care how many trophies they have won. What I do know is that the next time we lift one (coming soon), we will put their choreographed, staged and false celebrations to shame with pure royal blue and natural passion, straight from the heart.
Despite everything, we really bother them regardless of how the modern Kopite collective try to patronise us.
I've already told family, that if I am fortunate enough to go to the Anfield derby next month, I won't be escorted to the ground and if I want, I will go to the Arkles as I tend to do in respect of my Evertonian Grandfather.
I'll stop now as my language may literally turn blue.

They call us bitter, but my word, they are terrible.
There is a great sign amongst others in the Brick. It simply says "We're not bitter, we just don't like you"!!!

I did a really mean thing in class yesterday Danny. One of my students - they all know about me and Everton, the DCL/Branthwaite celebration from the derby a year or so ago is my screensaver/wallpaper, and Everton is my car's license plate - turned up with a " Liverpool till I die" teeshirt. The inevitable followed. I put a blank map of the UK on screen and asked him to point to Liverpool. After a couple of gingerly gestures he finally landed on a spot close to Newcastle.

I hope that Steau Flag gets the media attention it deserves this year with it being the 40th anniversary. Banter and goodwill also died at Heysel.

How they wail in anger when the nasty opposition supporters remind them of their recent past only to pull stunts like that flag in jest with a direct link to what could have been ours but was denied by them.
I'll never forgive them for what they done to English football at the time, which arguably impacted us more than anyone else.
I know some decent Liverpool supporters, family and friends back home. But collectively they have muted into an entitled, condescending, self-appreciation society. I could go on with words to describe them but I would run out of things to say.
Anyway, we've got Wolves and West Ham to think about before we head to Mordor.

We've long turned our noses up at the elite competition in European football — mainly out of jealousy, I suspect. But it is the pinnacle of the game for clubs in the UK and on the continent — and something we really should aspire to rather than despise.
If there is sufficient interest, I could also open the Live Forum.
