Juventus reportedly exploring a move for Beto
Juventus have identified Beto as a target to reinforce their attack and are eyeing up a move for the Everton striker in the last few days of the window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Guinea-Bissau international has emerged as a last-minute option in their search to sign a striker after talks with Youssef En Nesyri, a player Everton were also interested in, collapsed.
However, a significant gap exists between the two clubs regarding the method of operation. While Everton would prefer to sell the player outright, the Bianconeri are pushing for an initial loan deal with an option to buy, which is the same reason that prompted En Nesyri to turn down their approach. Gazzetta reports that Everton value Beto at €20m.
Despite the differences, apparently intermediaries are actively working to bridge the gap and find solutions for all three parties. It also remains to be seen whether Beto would accept a temporary return to Serie A if both clubs end up reaching an agreement.
The former Udinese striker has been a peripheral figure for David Moyes this season. Following the signing of Thierno Barry, Beto has started only eight league matches and has scored two goals.

But seriously we really do need an upgrade on this fella, we've seen what he's about and, bar a purple patch when he grabbed some goals, he is blatantly not good enough and is unlikely to get any better.

Failing that with Branthwaite back, use Keane up top for the last 20 mins from the bench, he has to be a better option than Beto.

And of course we need a replacement, can't muddle through with only one forward.
