Sunderland U18s 0 - 2 Everton U18s
Everton U18s secured a fine win on the road today against Sunderland U18s at the Academy of Light.
Two second-half goals, the first a header from Aled Thomas, and the second a penalty fired home by Coby Ebere, secured all the points for only Everton's 4th league win of the season.
Some new names getting on late as subs, all listed as midfielders: Louis Poland, Ray Roberts, Harvey Bllington, and Amari Moses.
Everton U18s: G Pickford, Lambert (89' Billington), O Samuels-Smith, Davis [Y:90+3'], Thomas, J Patterson, Beaumont-Clark [Y:31'] (89' Moses), Foster, Ebere, Wren (87' Poland), Stewart (82' Roberts).
Subs not Used: Lukjanciks

Delve, Michael, delve! my North East spy said Aled Thomas and Coby Ebere penalty secured the points.
He also revealed that Ishe Samuels-Smith was on the Chelsea bench v Man City tonight.

While at least the U18s league table on the official site has bumped them up to 10th with that 4th win of the season, jumping over Sunderland!
All we need now are a few more details for the almanac.

Says Rocco Lambert came off after 90+3 minutes but doesn't say who or if anyone replaced him. Only four subs named, so either no-one… or a no-name trialist???

Always bugged me a bit as being just a tad pretentious.
But with our new marketing vibe in full flow, why don't we rebrand the dreadfully named Finch Farm as "The School of Science"? Or better still, "The Academy of Science"???
Nah… with our current lack of Academy success at all levels, I can't see it. In fact, there's a risk it would give 'Science' a bad name!
