Moyes looking at Icelandic striker
David Moyes could go head-to-head with new Wolves boss Stale Sokbakken in bidding for Icelandic international Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson.
The 21 year-old scored 11 goals in 10 for Lillestrom in Norway this season and is rated at £4m.

11 goals against whom?
About time Velios got a chance.
Mike, who was Jelavic scoring his goals against before he came to Everton?
If Velios was that good, he would be getting his chance.
Come on! Let Solbakken have him. Its not worth it! - as i told earlyer- this player would not raise the level at everton... I go with Mike here... £4m- NO WAY!
He is a talent, but is he worth the money?
It's the Daily Mail. Says it all.
Dan, I'm not convinced players that are good enough do get games.
Saha was crap for 6 months and was still played consistently. Even McAleny outshone him with his 15 minute cameo at the Emirates. Vellios has done ok when played and scored goals too. He's not in Jelavic's league, but did more to warrant a place than Straq.
I'm sure we were linked with this kid a couple of months ago and a few blues living out in Norway (surrounded by Kopites no doubt) came on saying that they, having watched him, didn't think he'd make it in the Premiership. If this is right, would it not be best to try and save some of the cash towards a more expensive signing?
Wayne, I saw Vellios play a few times for the reserves and whilst he has ability he lost the ball alot and his work rate was lacking. The same can not be said for Straq which I why I imagine he got a starting place ahead of him.
Hopefully Vellios will push on this season but despite his impressive goal return he's not quite the finished product as yet, which is normal having just turned 20.

Rodallega from Wigan is out of contract in the summer....get him on a free!
I follow the Norwegian league and this guy Bjørn Sigurdarson is not that great to be honest. The teams here in Norway are crap, and the best team Molde is losing players when they are heading for CL qualification , so if you want a striker, look elsewhere then Norway if you want to asess real quality.
If this guy is so good then he would match Moa at Hannover 96 but he is not even close.
This happens every year, some unknown player does well for 4 games and suddenly he is followed by PL clubs and Bundesliga.
Total crap, there is no truth what so ever in this.
If it is then Moyes needs sacking, that is all I have to say.
Jimmy Sørheim @702 you say "He is a talent, but is he worth the money?" yet @719 you say "I follow the Norwegian league and this guy Bjørn Sigurdarson is not that great to be honest.............If this guy is so good then he would match Moa at Hannover 96 but he is not even close."
Which one is it? Is he a talent or is he crap?
P.S. Is his attitude better than Drenthe's?
He`s not even close to Moa, barely reaches him to the knees.... £4m way too much! Let Solbakken have him... As I said earlier, Bjørn Helge Riise (Fulham flop) was "dominating" Norwegian TL.... We all know what his contribution was to the PL!!
I follow Joe Ferguson here, let's spend the money elsewhere....
"..there is no truth what so ever in this. If it is then Moyes needs sacking, that is all I have to say."
Jesus Jimmy,
How many times a day do you demand Moyes be dismissed? If you caught the faint whiff of piss in a lift you'd be calling for his head.
You should get your own taking action figure:
Press the left foot for phrase 1: "Moyes must be sacked forthwith for such a slight on Sorheim"
Press the right foot for phrase 2: "Don't worry Drenthe, Jimmy still loves you"
Dan
Jelly is a Croatian international who was scoring in the SPL not the Norwegian League.
Velios did well for us when he got the few chances he was allowed
Don't waste money on players with no pedigree.

Joe McP.,
He's not good enough. That's it.
I do think his attitude is good, hard workrate etc., no DUI.
Sam Hoare - I agree watched Vellios a few times too and he does need to improve work rate, I felt he drifted in and out of the game. When we broke forward he was looking for the ball into the box but was rarely there as an outlet for the defence. On the plus side in the box he gets in great scoring positions and has the ability to create space and get a shot off. Hoping the award he got this year will spur him on to put more in.
No chance this is happening! I like the Rodellega shout! Moyes out? Ha, Ha, Ha!!
