Everton are said to be chasing David Weir
Online sources suggest that Everton are talking to David Weir with the intention of hiring him to replace Kevin Thelwell as Sporting Director or Director of Football.
It may represent a lazy link for somebody who has noticed that David Weir played at Everton under David Moyes, and both men hail from north of the border, so something must be brewing…
While other sources claim David Weir is very happy at Brighton and is not looking to leave.

One suspects Weir has a sweet deal at BHA who have established scouting links overseas and don't have the legacy issues he would face at Everton.
