Bill Gall 2 Posted 12/05/2025 at 14:50:59 After watching Tottenham yesterday, if Richarlison can't get in that side, I can't see him improving in an Everton side. We got the best out of him before; let's leave it at that. Mike Gaynes 3 Posted 12/05/2025 at 16:25:34 I almost had a heart attack when I saw the words Gomes and Lille in the same sentence, but then I realized it was a different A. Gomes. Also, the John Stones rumours continued this weekend, and Sky Sports has linked us with Leicester left back Victor Kristiansen, who to me looks a lot like Myko -- fine defender but not much going forward. Mike Allison 4 Posted 12/05/2025 at 16:47:54 I think Richarlison would do really well if he came back; I certainly wouldn't write him off based on anything going on at Spurs. However, I suspect our budget is still not massive and may need to be spent elsewhere. Perhaps he'd be an astute signing as one of a couple of savvy season-long loans. Kevin Molloy 5 Posted 12/05/2025 at 16:51:38 I can't see us going for Maupay Rob. Never go back, no matter how good the player. Peter Gorman 6 Posted 12/05/2025 at 16:56:39 I don't know Kevin. Maupay is the kind of snidey little git that we've been really missing at the club.I reckon he'd be effective as a lone striker, if the centre-halves pump it long. James Hughes 7 Posted 12/05/2025 at 17:36:59 Peter, lovely fishing there mate Brian Williams 8 Posted 12/05/2025 at 17:41:29 Maupay is on a loan with an obligation to buy. Do Twer's not know this? Kevin Molloy 9 Posted 12/05/2025 at 17:42:20 You might be right, Peter. At the right price, there might be a deal there. Robert Tressell 10 Posted 13/05/2025 at 21:24:27 With Bisseck starting for Inter in the Champions League semi-final, it seems a bit unlikely for him to be joining Everton next season. The time to buy him was after starring in a youth international tournament while playing for Aarhus in Denmark. He cost Inter €7.2M at that point but it's taken him a couple of years to become a regular.Coufal and Angel Gomes are more likely – as both a free transfers. Gomes is excellent technically. I thought he performed well for England too when he was capped recently. Like a poor man's Modric. Joe McMahon 11 Posted 13/05/2025 at 21:25:34 Delap off to Man Utd by looks of it. Ah well. Paul Kossoff 12 Posted 13/05/2025 at 23:44:59 Two shocks. One Menoplay still an Everton player, and Beto to Leeds for any price never mind £80 million. Lol worth three laughs😀😀😀 Paul Kossoff 13 Posted 13/05/2025 at 23:53:30 Angel Gomes? Jeeeez I would rather have Andre back. He reminds me of the chuckle brothers sketch, to you, to me, to you, to me. He gets the ball passes it five or ten yards, trots over to the player he's just passed it to, then gets ti back and does the same thing. You'll be asking for pineapple head from city next. Angel Gomes! Pleeease No! Ian Bennett 14 Posted 14/05/2025 at 12:48:14 Linked with Jason Knight of Bristol City. Club captain and current Player of the Season. Irish international and 25 years of age.Plays central midfield. Robert Tressell 15 Posted 14/05/2025 at 21:13:46 Paul @13.Really wouldn't surprise me to see Gomes on a free and Calvin-Phillips on loan. The new Bracewell and Reid. Give it a chance. Steve Shave 16 Posted 14/05/2025 at 21:46:02 I'm surprised you feel that way about Gomes, Paul, he is a quality player and it would be something of a coup to get him on a free. He is still young but he has done well in France. Another let go by that shitshow of a club who has done well, McTominay and Anthony have both pulled up trees this season in the Serie A and La Liga respectively. Knight is a real possibility, Ian, and probably fits the Moyes kind of signing, along with Fellows. Both available for under £15M I'd expect. I really hope you were joking about Calvin-Phillips on loan, Robert! I think we have to go all out for a few of the free transfers, even if it means paying high wages, just purely because we have to spend in other departments. Gomes and Lamptey maybe? I'd much rather Rigg and Wesley but that's best part of £55M gone already. Softly, softly, catchy monkey. Michael Kenrick 17 Posted 15/05/2025 at 09:46:52 'Insiders' at English club issue transfer hint as Everton eye new attacker signing - report Goodison News 09:11 Glasgow Rangers!!! These utter wankers are a total blight on the internet. Danny O'Neill 18 Posted 15/05/2025 at 10:12:48 Michael, I am very selective on my sources and prefer not to speculate. Some of these websites I read with interest. But file and forget. Nothing to see here. Martin Mason 19 Posted 15/05/2025 at 10:22:10 It is going to be massively difficult to get the players we need in such a competitive market.I'd sooner they didn't buy than rushed in and bought badly as they have tended to do. Phil Roberts 20 Posted 15/05/2025 at 15:11:47 Michael,The way things are going with so many websites looking for clicks, maybe the easiest to do is go onto Transfermarkt, copy all the names of all players in Europe and then just past them into the tread! Could save you a lot of work.Remember the days of colour coding the names from hot to cold?A lot of blue in the list so far but sadly few, if any, will become Blues. Steve Shave 21 Posted 15/05/2025 at 19:44:48 It really is going to be a massive challenge Martin, you are right. It's one thing identifying the right players, its another to join the queue of clubs and hope our pitch lands well. For that reason I think (as mentioned above) we will overpay on some wages to get the free signings over the line. I would get very excited by a window of Lamptey and Gomes on free's and the signings of Delap, Fellows and Rigg. Maybe Walker-Peters as well one can dream. Robert Tressell 22 Posted 15/05/2025 at 19:49:49 About 90% of these rumours relate to players linked when Thelwell was here. Few reasons:- news outlets lie and / or dont update research- most of these players are linked to similar stature clubs around Europe etc. They are being hawked around by selling clubs and agents and are realistically available. That doesnt change with the departure of Thelwell.Theres also nothing even vaguely resembling the mythical hidden gems - unknowns from obscure markets (or more unknown / obscure than this lot anyway). I got the impression from Kinnears output that this is where were headed which means there should be some unexpected activity - more along the lines of Chermiti etc Bjorn-Ivar Pedersen 23 Posted 19/05/2025 at 17:31:24 Most of the players I've never heard about. But I can say this about Richarlison. I watched him over two games when Spurs played my boyhood club Bodø/Glimt in the Europa League. He played only for 60 minutes both matches, he no longer has the stamina to complete a whole game. So I am thinking: What are we going to do with a player who can't play the whole game??? I am thinking James Rodriguez all over again. So no thank you, let's jog on and watch for younger and fitter players. Martin Berry 24 Posted 20/05/2025 at 15:23:21 I expect no new strikers and DCL signing a new contract. Moyes will not want Richy too injury prone like DCL and therefore cant have the possibility of two being injured in his front line. Beto will score double figures next season, Leeds for £80m ? someones been on the cooking sherry.Delap would be a bonus but there is no way City would sell to Utd "IF" they have any sell on control other than their percentage. Interesting to see where he ends up..Midfield yes, I expect Fellows to be signed for the right wing, also Longstaff/Soucek/Knight, perm any two from three. Moyes likes big strong units in the centre with good engines who can scrap and block, these are those types, think Dogs of War and you get the idea.Lindstrom a further loan, Mangala to return after injury assessment ? the latter really impressed during his time at Everton and maybe another loan to see how he plays. I in defence a full back who plays right side but can cover for Miko will be a priority, KWP ?Coleman- coaching staff.Keane new contract and Charly signed. I don't expect miracles in the summer but solid signings who will help us progress and move us up the table. As Moyes has stated its not an instant fix so we will have to show some patience. Raymond Fox 25 Posted 20/05/2025 at 16:02:23 Its going to be steady as you go next season, I'm not in favour of a clear out. We do need a creative midfielder which are hard to find though and a right back. Oh, and find a Lukaku from somewhere, Martinez managed to! Ian Bennett 26 Posted 20/05/2025 at 20:41:52 I think we will be in for Junior Firpo from Leeds on a free. Ryan Holroyd 27 Posted 20/05/2025 at 21:16:48 Hope not Ian. Hes awful Ryan Holroyd 28 Posted 20/05/2025 at 21:20:30 Marsellie have to pay Everton £6M this summer for Maupay. Colin Glassar 29 Posted 20/05/2025 at 21:49:30 13th WooHooWhat about a cheeky double loan bid for Grealish and Foden. Both have been frozen out by Guardiola. They could become Everton legends. Ian Bennett 30 Posted 20/05/2025 at 21:55:40 13th, a good bit of money for securing those additional 4 places. £12.5m. Annika Herbert 31 Posted 20/05/2025 at 22:08:12 Angel Gomes would be a good pickup on a free. I think he would go a great Job slotting into our midfield.Adding Lamptey would be an added bonus Peter Quinn 32 Posted 20/05/2025 at 22:16:47 So when Moyesie took over we had 17 points from 20 games. 17 games later we have another 28 points and have finished 13th. 15th last season [12th without the points deduction]. Time we finished in the top half and maybe pushed for Europe. Just hope that the owners are able to release the purse strings given our additional income next season. Whatever people's take on our manager we need a few years of stability and progress. Would love to have the chance to go on a European tour again after the last 5 seasons. Colin Glassar 33 Posted 20/05/2025 at 22:17:38 There are bargains to be had out there, Annika.
