Looks like Franks, Iraola, Marco Silva, Howe and Glasner may all be available this summer.

Man Utd getting better and better after that rough patch.

Who do they play next, I wonder?

Richarlison scores a beautiful glanced header, looks like a winner...

Wow! I don't think that Brazilian bloke will even remember who we are!

That was some touch!

Forget the Premier League - this for our family is the story of the weekend.

Wife comes from Sweden and lived in the town of Örebro. 117 years and not one trophy. In the equivalent of the Championship having been relegated in 2021. 30-game season from April to November.

By September, 21 games gone, bottom with 8 points and 0 in the win column. Bottom 2 relegated, Next 2 into playoff. 9 Points adrift of a playoff place. 85 years since they were last in Division 3.

Today was the last match of the season and they had closed the gap and were now 14th and in a playoff place. The match was away at the team 15th. If they avoided defeat, it was the playoffs; if they lost... relegation.

90th minute - losing 1-0.
94th minute - left back equalises from a corner!!!!!!

So they stay 14th on Goal Difference and the other team are relegated.

Can't stop whistling "The Great Escape".

And Everton won as well. Happy Days.

I think it's safe to say Wolves are down.

They look awful.

Hewey, nobody gets relegated in November.

True.

But they will.

I think the current Bottom 5 are the only ones in real danger of relegation this season.

That was a Bainesy special. Villa 1-0.

Inconsistency of VAR and refereeing is just astounding. No penalty, yellow card for simulation at Selhurst Park -- correct.

Outtara clearly caught by Burn at Brentford, stonewall penalty... ? No. Simulation. Unbelievable.

Outtara promptly gets a penalty when he absolutely did dive to even things up.
Michael Kenrick
15 Posted 09/11/2025 at 15:40:50
Then another penalty call on Burn and he gets a second yellow but it didn't look like he made that much contact.

Pope substituted off before the penalty, Ramsdale on, is taken!!!

Micheal, I didn't think it was a Forest penalty either but VAR gave it.

Wonder when Newcastle Utd's owners will be taking a look at Eddie Howe's management performances....

Bill, I think while they are still in Champions League and now quarterfinals of League Cup, he'll be okay for now, I'd have thought.

But their 1st trophy in a thousand years last season probably gives him time also. With all these ludicrous international breaks, I can't help thinking it disrupts all clubs.

Danny Murphy didn't agree with Man City being given a penalty. He didn't agree with St Virgil's goal being rubbed out.

What a surprise!

Murphy is one of the most boring opinionated voices and such a dick.

The shite having a goal rightly chalked off by VAR is the icing on the cake of a good weekend.
Craig Walker

Sky will get a week out of the VAR non-goal.

I'll never get sick of us winning and them lot losing.

Colin Glassar
25 Posted 09/11/2025 at 18:44:38
We're only 3 points off the shite.

We win, they lose = good weekend.

So who had the better business during the summer? Has Worz (or is that Worse?) ever put in a shift for the RS like Barry did yesterday?

If O'Brien's header is chalked off, what is the issue with VAR disallowing St Virgil's header today?

If Salah went down like Doku, what would the RS want? A penalty -- that's what. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

Craig Hignett on Radio Merseyside, two lucky goals, Haaland's header and the deflection, plus -- I kid you not -- the 3-nil scoreline flattered City!!! It flattered the RS, Dickhead.

Doku... what a player.
We gave City a game when we played them the RS didn't.

Stuart Sharp

3-nil flattered them? Hilarious.

I actually think the penalty decision was poor and the rule that disallowed their goal (and O'Brien's) is nonsense, but they got rinsed and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I kept forgetting Salah was on the pitch until the last 10 minutes.

The penalty was a penalty, the knee was enough to bring him down.

The Robertson involvement was enough to rule out for offside.

Get on with it.

Jeff Armstrong

City took their foot off the gas in the last 20 minutes, Pep did the usual by taking his best threat off, Doku, I was thinking 4 or even 5-0 until he started to dick about.

3-0 flattered the RS.

Only an Evertonian could say that Liverpool deserved to get beat 3-0; how Kavanagh is allowed to referee a Liverpool v Man City game is beyond me.

He definitely studied that penalty a lot more than the one that ended up costing Liverpool the title at Goodison (even though the cynical bastards were trying to relegate us), and how Van Dijk's equilizer was never allowed to stand was absolutely disgraceful. (I actually think it was)

You can see that Liverpool are going to be a great side once Slot gets his best eleven sorted, so give him a lovely new long contract because he's going to need a bit of time!

It was an absolute pleasure watching Liverpool today, so hopefully the red media can paper over the cracks by blaming today's bad result on anything but the team's performance!!!
