Frimpong for RS is a liability, nice to see Lookman getting on the score sheet.
Flipping between games, we are years behind Champions League level. Bet for us settling for the Europa League or Conference League

What fantastic stuff from Barcelona, and a brilliant goal.
But it will be called for offside. Even though it was played on by a defender. What a shame.

Seems Barcelona v Athletico is worth watching, hoping to get home for the end of it. Fuck the RS! Sad times when I'm cheering for PSG, but here we are.
Regarding us making Europe, our Brentford friend John Hood made sense in the match thread about it potentially being a bridge too far for the squad (he was talking about the Bees but same applies). Hopefully our owners will address that if and when we qualify.

It just seems incongruous that Rasford is playing for Barcelona.
He's just not that good, is he? Well, they are out anyway.

Hopefully they're out on their feet as well.

Just seen ads after poor Redshite were well shafted.
"Resilience. That is MacDonalds"
Perhaps we should have an article about resilience, or was the ad intended to encourage Mo Salah to get a job there when he departs Mordor?

And another to rub their faces in it! Being honest, they never gave up but left quite a few holes in doing so and PSG took advantage and maybe, like last week, could have scored a couple more.
I think a couple more than Salah and Van Dijk will be wanting away in the summer —- let's take advantage of their woes on Sunday.

Rashford has his moments, overall I'd say he's Richarlison level at best (Richie defends better if you ask me).
But he played for ManItd so obviously he's worth 10 times as much.

They huffed and puffed, had a really good go for 20 minutes, but that's yet another defeat for Liverpool!
The commentator was a disgrace trying to say why that penalty decision shouldn't have been overturned. No wonder it's getting harder and harder to watch football on TV, but I suppose it was my own fault because I hadn't turned the sound down.
The quality of PSG showed in the end, and although we haven't got that same quality, so what…. Let's get ready to rummmmble!!! 😂

I guess we didn't see anything good in Lookman but he isn't the first player to leave Everton and succeed elsewhere. I recall a certain youngster named Rooney.
The Bournemouth manager has done well so I wonder if he awaits a big contract offer from a Premier League club.

And to rub more salt in the wounds, looks like Etitike has got a bit of a bad injury.
Hopefully he misses out on Sunday, that Isak is nowhere near fit, so hope he replaces him.

Over the two games, the Red Shite played well for 30 minutes in the second half at home.
But with their heads down and Ekitke missing lets hope they get bounced again on Sunday.

Tom #14, we saw a great deal of good in Lookman but we also saw immaturity.
When Everton shipped him out, he then spent the next 4 years failing at Leipzig, Fulham and Leicester. The penny finally dropped for him when he reached Atalanta at age 25.
Good on him for learning how to be a pro and finally growing into a star, but blaming Everton for failing to keep him all those years is a bit silly. And comparing him to Rooney is sillier.

Youll always get transfers that don't work out, and Everton have had many.
John Spencer, Danny Williamson, Stephen Hughes, Alex Nyarko, and Richard Wright would make a fair 5 a side.

Ian (20),
Just those five cost us plenty… and there was quite a few more.
Lookman always had the talent when he was with us but he was a very young lad away from his roots while he was with us.
He grew up while at Fulham who wanted to keep him and he did well at Leicester on and off including scoring the winner v Liverpool. Now the Italian club are benefiting from his time in England.
Rooney was a massive success before he left Everton — anyone who saw him in the youth team before he got his debut in the first team knew we had a unique and brilliant outstanding player who had no limits to how far he would go.
The truth was we were not a big enough club to keep hold of that talent.

I'm not sure 'failing' is the correct word, Mike.
I watched him playing for Fulham at Anfield during the lockdown season and you could see the talent, but maybe it just shows me that a lot of coaches in the professional game are actually scared of talent?
Doesn't make sense, I know, but for 99% of coaches, it's all about making sure that their players are adept at the dirty side of the game, and this is why a lot of extremely talented young footballers find it so hard to really break through.
The real truth is that we had a phoney bastard owner who should have never been anywhere near Everton Football Club, Dave.
